Muskoka Lavender was born from a quiet longing — to unite the wild stillness of the Canadian landscape with the sun-warmed botanicals of the Mediterranean. A story shaped by land, memory, and a life lived between the two.
Each formulation begins at the source. Lavender, distilled at its peak. Olive oil, pressed from our own harvest. Honey, wax, and propolis gathered from hives where bees move freely through wild terrain. Chaga from northern forests including our family land in Muskoka. Roses, distilled into water of remarkable purity. Bladderwrack hand-harvested from the pristine shorlines of Cape Breton Island.
Nothing rushed. Nothing excessive.

the harvest
Before the sun rises high, while the air is still cool and the earth holds the memory of night — this is when the harvest begins. A quiet hour, where the scent of lavender drifts softly through the field, delicate yet deeply present. Each stem is cut by hand, never hurried. Gathered gently, with the understanding that true aroma cannot be forced — only revealed. It is a rhythm learned over time: to watch, to wait, to take only when the plant is ready. In Türkiye, our Mediterranean lavender field rests within a landscape of pine forests, olive, pomegranate, and orange groves — where morning light softens into warmth. Here, we work with local villagers whose knowledge has been shaped over generations. Their understanding of the land, the seasons, and the plants guides the harvest as much as the field itself. We move slowly, in small passes, returning again and again as each row reaches its peak. Nothing is taken all at once. Nothing is rushed. Because what is gathered here is not only lavender —but time, memory, and the quiet intelligence of nature, carried forward through human hands.
THE BEES
At the edges of our land, where wildflowers move freely with the seasons, the hives quietly thrive. Here, bees follow their own rhythm — gathering from endemic plants & flowers including the unique Muğla pine trees, lavender, and whatever the land offers in that moment. There is a quiet intelligence within each hive — an ancient, unspoken order. In return for their work, we protect the landscape they depend on, preserving a place where they can move, forage, and return undisturbed. From this relationship comes the living heart of some of our formulations. Honey, rich and restorative. Beeswax, soft yet protective. Propolis, complex and deeply resilient. Not added for trend — but carried forward through time, as they always have been.
the craft
In our small studio in Muskoka — part kitchen, part apothecary, part laboratory — we transform raw botanicals into living beauty experiences. It is here, between Canada and the Mediterranean, that the work becomes intimate.
Cold-pressed natural oils warmed slowly over low heat. Beeswax is shaved in delicate curls. Rose petals are steeped overnight until their softness infuses the water. Essential oils are measured drop by drop — never rushed, always felt. Nothing is automated. Every jar passes through human hands, guided by instinct as much as knowledge.
This is slow beauty in its truest form. It carries time, touch, and the quiet precision of a craft that cannot be replicated by machines — only practiced, patiently, by hand.
Our formulations are shaped through years of hands-on practice — informed by Mediterranean herbal traditions, enriched by the wild botanicals of Muskoka, and refined through a deep understanding of the skin. Each batch is made in small quantities, carefully observed as it comes together, adjusted when needed, and completed only when it feels right. Each jar carries more than ingredients.
